Ecco Ripley residents will have access to a super-fast internet and entertainment network five times faster than surrounding residential areas, as Sekisui House partners with Opticomm to install fibre to the home throughout the new development.
Sekisui House has also partnered with APA to install natural gas into Ecco Ripley, providing residents with a safe, environmentally friendly source of energy.
Toru Abe, Sekisui House Australia CEO and Managing Director, said providing the best utility infrastructure would future proof Ecco Ripley for residents.
“Sekisui House’ significant investment in cutting edge technology ensures that Ecco Ripley residents will have access to the fastest broadband network available in Australia,” Mr Abe said.
“The super-fast speeds on the Opticomm network would allow users to video conference, directly stream movies, and play online games without lag time.
“Ecco Ripley residents can also reduce household expenses by using gas for heating and cooking.”
Queensland Sales Manager for Opticomm Helen Blackburn said Opticomm was currently building the fibre optic infrastructure into Ecco Ripley.
“Ecco Ripley will be fibre ready when residents move in, meaning residents can activate super-fast broadband and entertainment with their internet provider when they move in,” she said.
“Telecommuting becomes a reality when you’ve got speeds of up to 100 megabytes per second, compared to the speed of less than 20 megabytes per second that is currently available in surrounding areas.
“Opticomm will deliver free WiFi in the public park from day one, so residents can enjoy the outdoors with their families while still having access to super-fast internet speeds.
“Residents will benefit from access to free to air digital TV and Foxtel, without the need for satellite dishes or antenna on the roof.”
Steven Kevin from APA Group said natural gas had many benefits to the home owner.
“Natural gas is an economical alternative for cooking, heating and hot water,” Mr Kevin said.
“Outdoor entertaining is a quintessential part of the Queensland lifestyle and your barbeque and outdoor heating can be connected to Natural Gas allowing for year round outdoor living.”
Opticomm is Australia’s largest alternative provider of fibre to the premises, having already connected more than 15,000 homes to their super- fast internet and media network. Opticomm is delivering fibre to the premises in 65 new residential communities across Australia, and they have more than 180,000 lots under contract.
APA Group (APA) is Australia’s largest natural gas infrastructure business, owning and/or operating $12 billion of energy assets.
“The design and development of Ecco Ripley is based on four key design pillars: Environment, Connected, Community and Opportunity,” Mr Abe said.
“Ecco Ripley’s connection to Opticomm and APA Gas brings to life our commitment to a connected community.”
